You are not alone! This special program will cover the basic elements of your telescope and what they do. We’ll provide you with some tips on how to properly set up your telescope and make observations\, so you’ll have an enriching experience under the stars. \nThis program is for individuals or families that own a simple telescope. Telescopes will not be provided. If you have a computer-controlled telescope\, you must provide your own power source. \nCost: $8/per telescope. Multiple family members ages 10 and above may attend. DESCRIPTION:Night viewing (StarWatch) is held each Saturday in the months of March\, April\, October & November\, starting at dusk at the observatories. If poor weather\, an alternate live presentation will occur in the planetarium theater. \nIf good weather\, visitors will be able to see celestial objects like the Moon\, planets\, star clusters\, galaxies and more through large telescopes! \nPlease dress for temperatures at least 20 degrees cooler than expected. We ask that visitors do not use white light flashlights to preserve your night vision. Green laser pointers are not allowed. We ask that visitors do not bring their own telescopes. \nThis is a free event and does not require registration.
