SUMMARY:Photography Walk – Bays Ridge/Orchid Trail
DESCRIPTION:Join park staff for a picture-perfect adventure along the Bays Ridge and Orchid Trails. Bring your camera and keep your eyes open for forest scenes\, wildlife\, and all the little details that make Bays Mountain worth capturing\, especially during golden hour! \nThis walk will take you through an advanced/expert trail system\, so come prepared for a more challenging hike. We will plan to cover 2 miles in around 2-2.5 hours. Wear closed-toe shoes\, bring water and snacks\, and don’t forget your own photography equipment. SUMMARY:Veterans Day Yoga & Meditation Hike
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate veterans\, consider the Veterans Day Yoga and Meditation Hike at Bays Mountain. This hike features a 2-mile\, out and back portion of the Lakeside Trail that will take approximately 70 minutes\, yoga included. The floating bridge and other stops along the way are utilized to teach standing yoga poses that will challenge and develop your strength\, flexibility and balance. We will also incorporate guided meditation and forest bathing. Combining mindfulness and nature are both science based practices that improve mental health and help reduce stress. In honor of our veterans\, this hike will be free for veterans and cost is discounted at $6 per person for other hikers. All levels are welcome. Please wear exercise clothing and plan to meet outside the Nature Center.
