SUMMARY:Labor Day Yoga Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Bays Mountain Park and participate in a Yoga Hike! This hike features an approximately 2-mile hike\, through a portion of the Lakeside Trail and back that will take about 70 minutes\, yoga included. The floating bridge and trail bridges are utilized to teach standing yoga poses while challenging your strength\, flexibility and balance through evidence-based science. All levels are welcome as modifications will be offered. \nCost is $8 per person. Plan to meet outside the front of the Nature Center 10-minutes early. \nRegistration is limited\, so please sign up soon. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a truly immersive yoga class at Bays Mountain! This class takes place inside Bays Mountain’s one of a kind planetarium theater. In this scenic yoga program\, the planetarium will feature a Sun and Moon that simulates a day’s journey\, along with newly added views of nature as we move through a series of yoga poses. These views include peaceful landscapes and breathtaking mountains that surround you with nature inside the planetarium dome. Concentric\, eccentric and isometric contractions will be incorporated so students can work to optimize both their strength and balance. Finally\, we conclude with a view of the starry night sky for a restorative ending. \nAll levels are welcome and encouraged as modifications will be offered. All participants must be 16 years of age or older. Class size is limited\, so please sign up soon. Please also wear exercise clothing and bring water with a sealable lid (drinks that can spill are not allowed). DESCRIPTION:Bays Mountain Park Association and Bays Mountain Yoga Programs present Halloween Yoga for Kids at the Fox Den Playground. This event will be held on October 31 at 10:30 a.m. Please join us for 15 minutes of yoga for kids\, followed by fun\, active time and imaginative play on the playground. We will conclude with a Halloween treat at approximately 11:15 a.m. Feel free to have your child dress in costume if they wish\, provided they can move freely and play. This is a free program (outside of parking for non-members)\, although registration is required for head count purposes. The program is available for kids 3 years old and up and younger children are welcome to accompany their older siblings. Parents\, for your children’s safety\, please plan to stay close by during the program.
