The colors are juxtaposed to create atmosphere and convey her response to the moment. Her work is influenced by both modern day and traditional painting masters. \n“I love working with students and helping them become artists. Helping them learn the skills they need to paint and draw on their own is a great feeling. I know they are learning something they can take with them\, and move forward with and grow.”

SUMMARY:Winter Planetarium Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a truly immersive yoga class at Bays Mountain. This class will be given inside Bays Mountain’s one of a kind planetarium theater that has no equal. From dawn to dusk\, the planetarium will feature a Sun and Moon that simulates a day’s journey while we do Sun Salutations\, Warrior series and balance poses. Concentric\, eccentric and isometric contractions will be featured so that students can work to optimize both their strength and balance. Finally\, we conclude with a twilight to starry night sky for the restorative portion of the yoga class. All levels are welcome as modifications will be offered. The cost is $12.00 a person and class size is limited\, so please sign up soon. If poor weather\, an alternate live presentation will occur in the planetarium theater. \nIf good weather\, visitors will be able to see celestial objects like the Moon\, planets\, star clusters\, galaxies and more through large telescopes! \nPlease dress for temperatures at least 20 degrees cooler than expected. We ask that visitors do not use white light flashlights to preserve your night vision. Green laser pointers are not allowed. We ask that visitors do not bring their own telescopes. \nThis is a free event and does not require registration.

Guided by an experienced instructor\, you’ll learn to shape\, texture\, and finish metal while crafting a rose that will never wilt. \nIn this workshop\, you’ll: \n\nCut and shape flower petals using shears and snips\nAdd unique texture with hammers and forming tools\nTwist multiple wires together to create a sturdy stem\nLeave with a handcrafted copper rose to treasure or gift\n\nNo prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity.  \nAll tools and materials are provided.  \nPlease bring work gloves or garden gloves if you have them. \nPlease wear natural fibers\, close-toed shoes\, full length pants\, and have any long hair pulled back.
