DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 40th annual Spring Garden Fair! The oldest garden fair in the region and a favorite among gardeners\, Exchange Place’s Spring Garden Fair will be held Saturday\, April 25th\, 2026\, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Sunday\, April 26th\, 2026\, from 12:00 – 5 p.m. at Exchange Place Living History Farm in Kingsport\, TN.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThousands of plants will be for sale – perennials\, annuals\, trees\, and shrubs – with the emphasis on natives\, herbs\, and heirloom plants (including a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes!) along with garden-related arts and crafts.\n\nHeritage breeds of animals and the spring activities of an 1850s farmstead will be featured as Exchange Place volunteers shear the sheep\, spin and weave the wool\, cook on the open hearth\, and shape iron over the forge. Ol’ timey music and traditional foods add to the atmosphere.\n\nAdmission at the gate is $5 for those aged 12 and up\, and free for those under 12. (There are no pre-event ticket sales.)\n\nProceeds from the event help to feed and care for the farm animals\, provide educational programming\, and help with the restoration and upkeep of the site\, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.\n\nExchange Place is a non-profit\, volunteer-run living history farm\, educational facility\, and regional attraction that seeks to preserve\, protect\, interpret\, and manage the history\, heritage\, and artifacts pertaining to mid-19th century farm life in Northeast Tennessee.

Dancing around the Maypole will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m. Enjoy baked goods and other food on site or to take home and listen to live music from local artists. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a truly immersive yoga class at Bays Mountain. This class will be given inside Bays Mountain’s one of a kind planetarium theater that has no equal. From dawn to dusk\, the planetarium will feature a Sun and Moon that simulates a day’s journey while we do Sun Salutations\, Warrior series and balance poses. Concentric\, eccentric and isometric contractions will be featured so that students can work to optimize both their strength and balance. Finally\, we conclude with a twilight to starry night sky for the restorative portion of the yoga class. All levels are welcome as modifications will be offered. The cost is $12.00 a person and class size is limited\, so please sign up soon. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an evening along Bays Mountain Reservoir from the comforts of your own canoe/kayak/s.u.p. (stand up paddleboard) while viewing the night sky. \nIt’s an astronomy program with a twist. Join park staff\, in the middle of the reservoir\, for a guided hike through the night sky. Learn about the constellations and viewable plants with the naked eye. \nGuests are required to bring their own canoe/kayak/s.u.p. and paddling equipment along with a Type III PFD (personal floatation device). Guests can unload water crafts near the upper portion of the dam. The cost is $10.00 per person. \nNote: If the weather is clear to partly cloudy\, the program will commence.
