Centennial Park- 245 E. Main Street

One of the best spots to enjoy a day outside in the sun is right in the heart of Downtown Kingsport! Centennial Park has everything you need to set up for a quick bite with a friend or two- benches, grassy space, and a great vantage point for watching the goats on Cement Hill. Plus, starting later in the spring, kids can cool off in the splash area!

Ridgefields Park- 605 Chippendale Road

Ridgefields Park is an amazing community park with lots of open space for a great picnic. Parents can lay their blankets out in the grassy field while kids take advantage of the playground close by. When mealtime is finished, there is also a paved walking path around the exterior lined with beautiful flowering trees.

Warriors Path State Park- 490 Hemlock Road

Kingsport's one and only Warriors Path State Park is a fantastic place to visit to take advantage of the springtime weather. There are abundant spots to take in a fantastic view while you enjoy a packed meal. From grassy fields to outdoor tables and covered shelters for larger gatherings, there's no bad spot to hang out in this park. While you're there, you can also enjoy the park's numerous other offerings like paddleboating, fishing, hiking, or the expansive Darrell's Dream Boundless Playground.

Borden Park- 901 Lamont Street

Borden Park is an excellent multi-purpose park located just a short drive away from Downtown Kingsport. Having a spring picnic here can feel like dining in a beautiful forest with it's great tree-cover providing much-needed shade on extra-sunny days. On top of having great spots to sit in the shade, the park also offers a variety of recreational opportunities like basketball courts, tennis courts, and even a disc golf course!

Boatyard Park- 2201 Netherland Inn Road

Located next to one of Kingsport's most scenic natural views, Boatyard Park is the perfect spot to lay out a blanket with some friends and enjoy all that spring has to offer. Watch the water of the Holston River roll by and relax among the blooming trees. When you're finished dining, you can take a scenic stroll along the 10 mile Greenbelt trail which runs adjacent to the park.
