City of Kingsport Christmas Guide
Holiday festivities are in full swing in Kingsport, and the city is bursting with festive fun for families, friends and visitors of all ages. From magical snow and twinkling lights to creative crafts and merry music, December is packed with events to help celebrate the countdown to the holidays. Here’s your complete roundup of seasonal happenings:
Thursday, Dec. 4, 11 and 18
Enjoy a bright evening at the Kingsport Carousel beneath the twinkly holiday lights from 5-7 p.m., for just $1 per ride.
Saturday, Dec. 6
Farmers Market Christmas Craft Show
Shop handmade crafts, local produce, baked goods, woodcrafts, leatherwork, candles, quilting, jewelry, jams, jellies and more. Hosted by vendors, this market will have an early morning start at 6:30 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m.
Christmas in the Country at Exchange Place
Celebrate a traditional 19th century Christmas from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Find fresh greenery, wreaths, folk art, holiday foods, plus demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages.
Natural Christmas Wreath Workshop
Create your own holiday wreath from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with materials gathered by Bays Mountain Park staff – perfect for a beautiful keepsake or handmade gift.
‘By the Fireside’ Symphony of the Mountains Concert
This season’s concert is filled with classic carols, festive favorites and all the holiday songs to get you in the spirit. The event will start at 3 p.m. at Toy F. Reid Eastman Employee Center.
Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting
Kick off the season with one of Kingsport’s most cherished traditions. The parade begins at 6 p.m. starting at Clinchfield and West Center streets. Attendees can enjoy floats, lights, marching bands and a visit from Santa Claus. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 7:45 p.m. at Church Circle, featuring a candlelight ceremony and carols. Expect magical snowfall throughout the evening!

Laser Holiday

A.S.P.I.R.E. Inclusive Christmas 2025
A.S.P.I.R.E. is hosting a holiday event for anyone with intellectual and physical disabilities. Attendees can enjoy hot chocolate, games and crafts from 6-8 p.m. at V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex.

Hot Chocolate with Santa and The Grinch
Join us at Glen Bruce Park from 6-7:30 p.m. with friends for visits from Santa Claus and The Grinch, carols, hot chocolate and magical falling snow.

Allandale Christmas Tours
Explore the stunning decorated rooms of the Allandale Mansion. Every room features a Christmas tree decorated with a theme. The tours are self-guided and normally take about 30 minutes to an hour, with volunteers available to share history of the estate.

Live Christmas Nativity
The collective churches of Church Circle will present their annual Come to Bethlehem: A Living Nativity beginning at 6 p.m.

Christmas at the Carousel
Ride the carousel from 1-3 p.m., enjoy Christmas crafts, free treats (while supplies last) and meet Buddy the Elf, Elsa, Olaf and Santa Claus!
Holiday Planetarium Yoga
Relax and unwind at this immersive yoga class at Bays Mountain inside the planetarium theater from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. The class will feature a sun and moon that simulates a day’s journey for all levels of yoga lovers.
Washington Elementary Chorus at Centennial Park
Hear the joyful voices of local students singing holiday favorites from 6-7:30 p.m. under falling snow.

Lamplight Carolers at Glen Bruce Park
Stroll through a snowy scene while listening to local carolers from 6-7:30 p.m.
Christmas Market
Enjoy a festive marketplace filled with handcrafted gifts, boutiques, jewelry, food trucks, face painting, Ben the illusionist and more from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Photos with Santa are available from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., with special guest The Grinch.

If you can’t make it to scheduled events, take a magical stroll through Kingsport’s very own Winter Wonderland. Enjoy over 100 Christmas trees on display in Glen Bruce Park and Centennial Park, decorated by local organizations and businesses, individuals and city departments.
