The dog days of summer are nearly over, but the dog days at Kingsport Aquatic Center are nearly upon us. Celebrating the 10th annual Drool Party, for the first time ever the center will have not one, but two days where dogs of all breeds and sizes can enjoy the outdoor water park. If you want to share your furry friend enjoying the pawty experience, tag us with #thisiskingsport!

The double Drool Party will take place Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is $5 per dog and free for owners.

Dogs and pet parents alike love the afternoon of running, jumping and playing in the toddler area of the center’s outdoor water park. It is a great way to make new puppy friends for a real dog day afternoon.

In addition to the splashing good time, dog-related vendors will be on hand inside the facility with all things grooming, boarding, treats and more. For the pet parents’ enjoyment, food trucks will be in the parking lot.

There is a one-dog-per-person limit and handlers must be over 18 years old. Be sure to bring leashes with you! Dogs must be up to date on their vaccines, and vaccination records are required to register.

Pre-registration for this event is required. Register for the pawty here

If the humans want to keep the party going, the indoor facilities of the Kingsport Aquatic Center are open year-round. Members can have fun swimming and splashing around at the region’s most comprehensive aquatic facility and have extra perks like early access to the water park, member rates on classes and a discount on rentals for birthday parties and cabanas

With multiple water slides, a splash pad, diving platforms and an Aqua Run inflatable obstacle course, there will be something for everyone in your family. Kingsport Aquatic Center memberships are available onsite or online
