Who says you can’t swim when the weather is gloomy? Kingsport Aquatic Center offers multiple indoor complex options. Enjoy the only indoor Olympic-sized pool the region has to offer from mid- August through mid-April. The center also has a warm pool that warms to 89 degrees for recreational use. Don’t let the fun stop there, the center also offers a recreational kids pool with a water slide and splash pad. These indoor facilities are equipped with multiple diving platforms, changing rooms, lockers and have great rental options for parties. So, whether you want to take the kids for a dip or attend an aquatics class, Kingsport Aquatic Center will keep you having fun while splashing around.

Kingsport Carousel and Park, 350 Clinchfield St.

As joyful music fills the air, smiles will abound as the carousel spins, spreading laughter and fun to all aboard. As the only traditional carousel in the Tri-Cities, this unique attraction has a rich history of more than 300 local artists and volunteer carvers making the dream of a Kingsport carousel a reality. This restored landmark is home to hand-carved, hand-painted magical animals and chariots. Enjoy this classic entertainment anytime between Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. And to make things even better, this timeless tradition is only $1 each ride.

Sports Mill, 600 East Market St.

Needing fun ideas for girls’ night or date night? Check out the Sports Mill in the heart of Downtown Kingsport. This isn’t your average sports bar; it offers a 13×10-foot screen and high-definition simulators that cover over 30 different sports. This place is all-around fun for friends and families either to have a competitive round of basketball or hunt aliens.
