If you ever had a great idea and thought, “I just wish I had the tools or the space to make it real,” then you’re exactly who the Inventor Center in Kingsport, was built for.

Tucked into the corner of downtown Kingsport, this creative space is more than just a workshop, it’s a community. Artists, engineers, hobbyists, and dreamers all gather here with one goal: to build, learn, and innovate. Whether you’re into woodworking, metalwork, 3D printing, or laser cutting, the Inventor Center has you covered.

The vibe is casual but focused. On any given day, you might meet someone welding a sculpture, another person printing a prototype, and someone else just learning how to use a Cricut machine. But you are not alone! Not only are you around other people from all different types of backgrounds, but you have mentors that are there just to help you create your work. The space is packed with tools, some industrial-grade, and open to anyone who wants to learn or build something new.

They also host beginner-friendly classes like stained glass crafting, intro to design software, and basic welding. No matter your skill level, there’s a class for you. If you have any sort of previous experience, then the Inventors Center welcomes you too!

Kingsport’s Inventor Center is part of a bigger movement to bring craftmanship and creativity to anyone who dares to think "What if...?"

It’s not just a workshop it’s a safe space to manufacture ideas, and a reminder that innovation is for everyone. Sometimes, innovation starts right here, in a brick building on Shelby Street. For more information , visit https://theinventorcenter.com/
